Depends on how fast you can do stuff, NF and Factions both give u more available titles and skills/heroes to work through the titles a lot faster. As far as I know, theres no release date on GW2 yet but i suspect 2011.

I would buy them, they don't cost that much. Gives you alot of fun and something to do in the meanwhile of waiting on gw2 ^^.

Didn't Anet say they were expecting a mid 2011 release or something like that? Anyway, a year is heaps of time, and it's not like it costs much if you don't like them.

GW2 isn't set for release until 2010/2011. You've probably still got nine to fifteen months left of play time in GW until you'd be able to move on.

GW2 could also be a great stinker, you never know.

If you are really enjoying GW1, then get the other two games.

This. As much as I want GW2 to be a successful and fun game, there is a chance that it wont be, or some GW1 players wont like it as much.

I think it would be nice to have the original games on hand if they were ever to give us access to Cantha and Elona in GW2 (respectively the continents in which Factions and Nightfall take place).

It's totally worth it. I bought them each for 40$

Plus, you'll be missing out if you don't get all the games, as there is a lot of skills.

Nightfall for Heroes and Factions for [[Assassin's Promise] to abuse PvE skills. Also, Factions have AB and CM, some good casual PvP aside from RA.

Guild Wars 2 is expected in 2011 although it might get delayed again. They haven’t announced a specific release date yet or details on the official website. It'll be released when it's finished.

GW2 = mid to late 2011 most likely.

Go ahead and buy NF, it has a lot of content to keep you entertained.

THIS. I used to be excited about GW2 until they revealed it's basically going to be WoW in the GW universe. Do not want!

tlee,

Definitely get all chapters of GW1....skills, titles, builds, unique items, etc, etc. With every option available to you, your gaming experience with GW will only be that much more rewarding -- even with GW2 in your possession.

-.-

Not to mention that with Prophecies only, you are missing out on other professions. Like assassin, very popular profession.
